Lay it All Down - United Pursuit (feat. Will Reagan)

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
— Yeshua

With 2.2 million views, this song released in 2017, beautifully filmed in black and white, is well worth a few minutes of your time. Find solace in remembering we don’t journey alone.

When Love walked the earth, we were told “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” - Words of Yeshua; Matt 11:28-30

When we associate the word “love” as applied to God’s son who walked among us, we should make sure we are using the right attributes, and not alternative definitions we might have learned during our life experience.

God’s son, Yeshua is love (1 Jn 4:8) and Yeshua is patient, kind; doesn’t envy or boast; isn’t arrogant or rude; and doesn’t insist on His own way… is not irritable or resentful; and does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth… 1 Cor 13:4-7.

Remember the character of the one to whom we are laying down our burdens, and learning that he truly is the way, and the truth, and the life - from the Author of life, light, and love. His burden is truly light.

The words of the song are below the video:

[Verse 1]
Bring your worry, grief and pain
Every cause you have for shame
Lay it all down ... lay it all down
When your cares, have buried you
And there’s nothing left to do
Lay it all down ... lay it all down
At the feet of Jesus ... at the feet of Jesus

[Verse 2]
Carried on, but your heart was tired
Feared the worst, and felt the fire
Lay it all down ... lay it all down
Filled with all, those anxious thoughts
And your doubts, became your god
Lay it all down, lay it all down
At the feet of Jesus ... at the feet of Jesus

[Chorus]
Lay it all down, lay it all down
Lay it all down, lay it all down
Lay it all down, lay it all down
Lay it all down, lay it all down
Lay it all down, lay it all down
Lay it all down, lay it all down
At the feet, of Jesus
At the feet, of Jesus

[Verse 3]
When we’ve given up, on better days
There are memories, we can’t erase
Lay it all down ... lay it all down
We’ve come to fear, what we can’t explain
There’s nothing here, that can ease the pain
Lay it all down ... lay it all down
At the feet of Jesus ... at the feet of Jesus
